Crime Report: More DUIs, Smoking Arrests & a Punctured Gas Tank

Once again, alcohol-related arrests are the highest reported incidents in the latest City of Falls Church Crime Report with three people arrested for DUIs (two on West Broad and one on Wilson Blvd) and two others cited for public drunkenness.

Also in this week’s report, a woman was arrested for assault and battery at Carina’s on South Washington St., someone stole a laptop from BJ’s, a car window was stolen from Great Falls St. and cash was taken from a vehicle at Sonic Car Wash. A lone report of vandalism was a punctured gas tank at George Mason High School and there were four more arrests for smoking at Eden Center.

Assault & Battery, 400 S. Washington St. (Catalina’s) On Apr. 22, police responded to report of an assault. After an investigation, a female, 37, of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for Assault & Battery.

Shoplifting, 6607 Wilson Blvd. (BJ’s Wholesale) On Apr. 24, a laptop computer was reported stolen.

Larceny of Vehicle Parts, 300 block Great Falls St. On Apr. 24, a car window was reported stolen.

Driving Under the Influence, 1100 block W. Broad St. On Apr. 25, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation.  The driver, a male, 35, of Alexandria, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Vandalism to Vehicle, 7124 Leesburg Pike (George Mason High School) On Apr. 25, an unknown suspect punctured a vehicle gas tank.

Larceny from Vehicle, 1050 W. Broad St. (Sonic Car Soft Wash) On Apr. 25, cash was reported stolen sometime before Apr. 22.

Public Drunkenness, 6300 block Arlington Blvd. On Apr. 25,a male, 68, of Falls Church, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Driving Under the Influence, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. On Apr. 26, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation.  The driver, a male, 52, of Springfield, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Trespass, 6757 Wilson Blvd. #16 (Le Mirage) On Apr. 26, a male, 42, no fixed address, was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.

Smoking Violation, 6795 Wilson Blvd. #52 (Café Dang) On Apr. 26, a male, 29, of Annandale; and a male, 36 of Ashburn; were issued summonses for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Trespass, 310 Park Ave. (Cherry Hill Park) On Apr. 26, a male, 32, of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.

Driving Under the Influence, 300 block E. Broad St. On Apr. 27, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation.  The driver, a male, 48, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Smoking Violation, 6787 Wilson Blvd. Suite A (Saigon Xua) On Apr. 26, a male, 41, of Herndon; and a male, 72 of Falls Church; were issued summonses for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Public Drunkenness, 1100 block W. Broad St. On Apr. 27, a male, 56, no fixed address, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.
