Local Chambers Form Joint Legislative Committee

Five local chambers of commerce and business associations covering the northeastern Fairfax County and the City of Falls Church have agreed to work cooperatively to take positions on legislative issues and work together to advance the political priorities at the state and local level.

The Falls Church Chamber of Commerce, the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce, Vienna Business Alliance, Greater Merrifield Business Alliance, and Asian Chamber of Commerce have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in which they commit to send participants to serve on a joint legislative committee.

The joint committee will take positions on legislation before the Virginia General Assembly, County Board of Supervisors and/or City Council when appropriate. The committee may also weigh in on national issues that affect small businesses in the area.
