Crime Report: Assaults, Habitual Shoplifting & a Stolen Xbox

There where four assault incidents in the latest Falls Church Crime Report released today including a report of a suspect punching both a motorist and a car window on E. Fairfax St., an altercation at Smitty’s Barber Shop on Douglas Ave., an assault between acquaintances at Eden Center and a domestic assault on S. Virginia Ave.

Other notable incidents includ a window shot from an apparent BB gun on W. Broad, an Xbox stolen from a house on Riley St., a cell phone stolen from a customer at Honey Baked Ham and a man arrested for Felony Habitual Shoplifting at CVS.

 

City of Falls Church Crime Report: July 28 – August 3, 2014

Attempted Shoplifting, 1230 W. Broad St. (Giant Foods) On July 28, an unknown suspect attempted to steal merchandise from the store.

Smoking In a Non-Designated Area, 6757 Wilson Blvd. #16 (Le Mirage) On July 29, a male, 54, of South Riding, was cited for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Smoking In a Non-Designated Area, 6787 Wilson Blvd. Suite A (Saigon Xua Restaurant) On July 29, a male, 31, of Woodbridge, was cited for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Simple Assault, 200 block E. Fairfax St. On July 30, an unknown suspect punched a car window and a motorist after the motorist attempted to pass the suspect on the street.

Larceny from building, 300 block Riley St. On Aug. 1, police received a report that an Xbox was stolen from a residence.

Vandalism, 1001 W. Broad St. On Aug. 1, police received a report that glass was damaged from an apparent bb gun shot.

Larceny from Building, 358 W. Broad St. (Honey Baked Ham) On Aug. 1, police received a report of a cell phone stolen from a customer.

Shoplifting, 1150 W. Broad St. (CVS Pharmacy) On Aug. 1, police received a report of shoplifting. After an investigation, police arrested a male, 46, of Washington, DC, for Felony Habitual Shoplifting.

Simple Assault, 303 Douglas Ave. (Smitty’s Unisex Barber Shop) On Aug. 1, police responded to the location for a report of an altercation. After an investigation, a male, 28, of Upper Marlboro, MD, was arrested for Simple Assault.

Diving Under the Influence, 300 block Hillwood Ave. On Aug. 2, a female, 20, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Diving Under the Influence, 100 block Wallace St. On Aug. 2, a male, 31, of Hyattsville, MD, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Diving Under the Influence and Public Drunkenness, 200 block E. Broad St. On Aug. 2, the driver, a male, 45, of Unionville, VA, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. The passenger, a male, 31, of McLean, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Simple Assault, 6795 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Aug.3, police received a report that an acquaintance assaulted the victim during an argument.

Larceny from Motor Vehicle, 900 block Ellison St. On Aug 3, an unknown suspect smashed a car window and stole a wallet.

Domestic Assault, 400 block S. Virginia Ave. On Aug. 3, a male, 49, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Assaulting a Family Member.
