Local Tai Chi School Repeats as National Champions

A team of students at Sun & Moon Taiji One, a tai chi school in The Little City, won their second straight national championship on July 26 at the 2014 New England International Wushu Championships and All-American Taijiquan Cup.

The team won the group tai chi competition in the Young Adult Advanced Group Taijiquan division at the tournament, which was held in Manchester, Connecticut. Team members won 12 gold, three silver and two bronze medals in the individual competitions.

Also, Sun & Moon Taiji One instructors Melody Lee and her son, Mickey Lee, became certified USA Wushu-Kungu Federation national instructors and judges and won the All-American Taijiquan Cups at the tournament.
