Sam’s Farm, the third-generation family-owned-and-operated garden center located at 7125 Leesburg Pike in Falls Church will be closing after 38 years in business. The popular garden center is now offering major discounts on annuals, perennials, exotic plants, fountains, birdbaths, statues and season produce, and decorations.

The property, which is actually in Fairfax County, is being redeveloped for residential townhomes and houses. For more information, contact owner Mary Cole or her son Jack Cole at (703) 534-5292.

  • Well, dang! NOW where am I going to get horribly overpriced halloween pumpkins?

  • I am going to miss them. Love their fresh summer produce. They are a nice family. I wish them well.

  • I worked at Sam’s in College and graduate school. best learning experience of my life! The Bobby, Mary Alice and the boys, Todd, Sam and jack became my 2nd family. I will be so sad to see this business end!!

  • Now that it’s time to put up the tree, hang the garlands, and put poinsettias out, we are missing you, Sam’s Farm. Many of the decorations we will put on our tree have come from decades of exploring your wonderful Christmas shop. You’ve been a great part of the rhythm of our lives, not only at Christmas, but planting those spring flowers and celebrating the 4th of July. Here is a big thank you to the whole Cole Family and to all the good people who worked with you.
