Falls Church’s Noah Thirkill, an eighth grader at Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal, earned two academic accolades at the academy in the past few months. Thirkill was awarded the Coaches’ Award in middle school wrestling for the winter season at the academy. Also, he was named to the Randolph-Macon Academy Middle School’s Principal’s List at the academy for the third quarter of the 2014-15 school year. To be named to the Principal’s List, a student must earn a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.99.
