NoVa Community College Opens New Gallery Spaces

The Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall & Arts Center at the Northern Virginia Community College’s Alexandria campus, located at 4915 E. Campus Dr., Alexandria, announced the opening of two new gallery spaces at the center last week. Gallery spaces in the center’s Forum and Passageway opened last Thursday, July 2, with an exhibition of oil on canvas paintings by Stanley Agbontaen.

Agbontaen, grew up in Benin City, Edo State in the South-South zone of Nigeria, studied at the Creative Art Academy (Benin City) and The School of Art and Design at Auchi Polytechnic, and is currently based in Maryland.

The Forum and Passageway are open regular business hours Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and during scheduled performances. Exhibitions in the space will be by invitation as the center develops a plan that continues to focus on new and emerging professional artists in the Greater Metropolitan Washington Area.
