TONY ORTEGA, THE AUTHOR of a new book exposing Scientology, entitled, The Unbreakable Miss Lovely, How the Church of Scientology Tried to Destroy Paulette Cooper, appeared with Cooper (left) before a standing room only audience at the Center for Inquiry on July 12. Ortega, a former editor of The Village Voice and now executive editor of The Raw Story website, writes relentlessly on his blog about the abuses of Scientology. Cooper, after writing a book critical of the organization in 1971, was targeted for years of harassment by the church which is documented in Ortega’s new book, his first.

  • Great Book. It Tells How scientology mailed themselves a bomb threat and blamed it on Paulette Cooper.
And lets not forget scientology was created by this wackjob working on a tomato with 1/3rd of a lie detector

Scientology, the “church” that claims abuse of members, harassment of critics and vexatious litigation as expressions of their First Amendment rights, has met its match in the internet. Here, even pre-internet critics like Ms Cooper get the “last word” and the recognition they deserve. Congratulations to Cooper and Ortega (tonyortega ‘dot’ org) and thanks to the FCNP for this story!
