F.C. Schools Selected as Apple Distinguished Program

Falls Church City Public Schools were selected last week as an Apple Distinguished Program, the school system announced in its “Morning Announcements.” The school system was nominated earlier this year based on five best practices: visionary leadership; innovative earning and teaching; ongoing professional learning; compelling evidence of success; and flexible learning environment.

Apple officials will celebrate the designation with the entire school community in November. The recognition is for two academic years, 2015-2017, during which time the school system will be an Apple recommended division, hosting visits and sharing its success story and best practices onsite with other educators from across the country.
