The City of Falls Church ranked first among jurisdictions in the U.S. for median household income in 2014, the U.S. Census Bureau reported earlier this month. Counted by the Census as a county, F.C. leads the nation with a household income of $125,635, followed by Loudoun County at $122,641, Fairfax County at $110,507. Arlington County was sixth at $107,143 and Howard County, Maryland was seventh at $106,871. The only non-DC area jurisdictions in the top seven were Los Alamos County, New Mexico (fourth at $108,477) and Douglas County, Colorado (fifth at $107.250).
