As residents and public works crews continue to dig out from the weekend’s historic storm, the City of Falls Church government and Falls Church City Public Schools and day care announced they will be closed again Tuesday, January 26 with the schools also closed on Wednesday as well. The closures include City Hall, the library and in addition, a “no parking order” has been enforced on the schools’ campuses. Cars left at the schools will be towed at owner’s expense. City courts are also closed Tuesday and all cases will be rescheduled.

Tuesday evening, the City announced the government will be open for business on time on Wednesday. The library, community center and courts will open at their regular hours and all recreation and parks classes and activities will start as scheduled. The City reports both the east and west wing entrances of City Hall will be open and court visitors should enter through the east wing as the court entrance will be closed.

Both trash and recycling pick-up scheduled for Wednesday will progress, though the City warns residents should expect delays and skipped collections of conditions are unsafe.
