F.C. Resident Weinstein Named to Key Post at C-SPAN

Falls Church resident Richard Weinstein was recently promoted to vice president of digital media at C-SPAN, the company announced in a press release on Wednesday, April 7. In his new role, Weinstein will be responsible for or strategy and operations related to C-SPAN’s online presence, including c-span.org and the C‑SPAN Archives.

“Richard brings to his new role excellent management skills plus extensive editorial and C-SPAN mission depth,” said C-SPAN co-cEO Susan Swain. “He has intricate knowledge of our internal content management systems plus a longstanding interest in innovation.”

Weinstein has held a variety of positions at C-SPAN since starting with the company in 1986 shortly after graduating from American University. He also led the network transition to a new digital-based newsroom media asset management system. For more information, visit c-span.org.
