Crime Report: Rash of Vehicle Crime Returns to Falls Church

A rash of vehicle crime has popped up again in the City of Falls Church according to the latest crime report released this week. There are nine incidents of vehicle crime in the latest report including two stolen cars (one on Gundry, the other from Koons Ford), six car break-ins and another vehicle was tampered with.

In other crime, a bike was stolen from a parking garage on W. Broad St., someone smashed a window at The Falls Church, beer was stolen from 7-Eleven, a phone and a jacket were taken from George Mason High School, somebody stole a wallet at Panera and a phone was stolen from MetroPCS.

 

City of Falls Church Crime Report: February 13 – 19, 2017

Larceny from Building, 300 block W. Broad St. On Feb. 13, a bicycle was reported stolen from a parking garage.

Larceny from Vehicle, 100 block W. Annandale Rd. On Feb. 14, personal items were stolen from the victim’s vehicle.

Larceny from Vehicle, 400 block Rollins St. On Feb. 14, personal items were stolen from the victim’s vehicle.

Larceny from Vehicle and Building, 200 block W. Cameron Rd. On Feb. 14, an unknown person stole items from the victim’s unlocked vehicles and then gained access and stole items from a garage.

Stolen Vehicle, 200 block Gundry Dr. On Feb. 14, a vehicle was reported stolen sometime overnight.

Destruction of Property, 115 E. Fairfax St. (The Falls Church) On Feb. 14, a glass window was reported smashed sometime overnight.

Stolen Vehicle, 1051 E. Broad St. (Koons Ford) On Feb. 14, a vehicle last seen three months ago was reported stolen.

Larceny from Building, 103 W. Columbia St. (Columbia Baptist Church) On Feb. 14, computer equipment was reported stolen sometime on Feb. 13.

Larceny from Vehicle, 300 block Gundry Dr. On Feb. 14, a GPS device was reported stolen from the victim’s vehicle sometime overnight.

Larceny from Vehicle, 400 block Rollins St. On Feb. 14, an unknown suspect stole personal items from the victim’s vehicle sometime overnight.

Shoplifting, 167 Hillwood Ave. (Virginia ABC Store) On Feb. 14, an unknown suspect stole merchandise from the store around 6 p.m.

Tamper with Vehicle, 300 block James St. On Feb. 15, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and left items in disarray. No items were reported taken.

Shoplifting, 804 S. Washington St. (7-Eleven) On Feb. 15, an unknown suspect stole beer from the store.

Larceny from Vehicle, 100 block W. Greenway Blvd. On Feb. 16, an unknown suspect stole personal items from the victim’s vehicle sometime after Feb. 14.

Larceny from Building, 7124 Leesburg Pike, (George Mason High School) On Feb. 16, a phone was reported stolen.

Larceny from Building, 450 W. Broad St. (Panera Bread) On Feb. 16, a wallet was reported stolen sometime on Feb. 15.

Larceny from Building, 7124 Leesburg Pike (George Mason High School) On Feb. 17, a jacket was reported stolen.

Shoplifting, 6617 Wilson Blvd. 6617 Wilson Blvd. (MetroPCS) On Feb. 17, an unknown suspect stole a phone.

Narcotics Violation, 100 block Tinner Hill On Feb. 18, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 24, of Sterling, was arrested and released on summons for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Assault, 800 block W. Broad St. On Feb. 18, officers responded to the area for a report of an altercation. After an investigation, police arrested a male, 55, of McLean, for Assault.

Driving Under the Influence, 300 block S. Washington St. On Feb. 19, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 39, of Arlington, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.
