20 Chime in at F.C. Planning Commission Hearing on Mason Row

Twenty Falls Church citizens, including neighbors to the site who carried petitions signed by over 100, spoke out at a public hearing before the F.C. Planning Commission at City Hall Monday night. The consensus among the attendees was that the four-acre consolidated Mason Row proposal for rental apartments, condominiums, a hotel and extensive retail at the N. West at W. Broad intersection is simply too big.

Traffic impact on the surrounding area was the major factor, though there were some loving adjacent the site who were strongly in favor. The Planners took no action tonight. The City Council take up the matter again this Wednesday and Nov. 17 has been set as the date for a final up-or-down vote.
